We all love our crystals but are we getting the most out of them? Or are we missing easy opportunities to harness their special energies? Read on to discover 5 easy ways to incorporate crystals into your everyday life…

Pillow crystals

Rest is extremely important but stress, busy schedules, nightmares and an overactive mind are just some of the things we struggle with when we’re trying to get the sleep we need. Placing a crystal under your pillow or next to where you sleep is an easy way to introduce crystal healing into your bedtime routine. Don’t forget to set an intention for your crystal by visualising the calm, undisturbed sleep you desire. If you’re worried that your crystal might roll away from under your pillow, pop it in a pouch to keep it in place.

Crystal suggestions: Howlite for calm, Celestite to ease stress and anxiety, Amethyst to prevent nightmares.

Desk crystals

A crystal can make the perfect desktop or workspace buddy. Whether it’s focus, creativity, communication or calm that we seek, crystals can support us while we work. They can even help protect us from unwanted Electromagnetic smog from our devices - try a piece of Black Tourmaline or Shungite next to your computer. These hard working crystals will need a cleansing routine so set a reminder on your phone or calendar.

Crystal suggestions: Black Tourmaline or Shungite for grounding and EMF protection, Fluorite for focus and problem solving, Citrine for confidence and creativity.

Car crystals

Love it or hate it, a lot of us are spending a great deal of time in the car on our daily commute. But even if your travel routine is less frequent, we can all benefit from some extra protection when we’re on the go away from home. Keep one or two crystals in a cup holder or other nook in the car for safe and calm travels, keep them out of direct sunlight and don’t forget to take them out regularly to cleanse them. 

Crystal suggestions: Moonstone for protection while travelling, Black Obsidian to shield against road rage, Hematite for concentration.

Pocket & purse crystals

For this one you’ll need very small crystals or little tumbles that can tuck comfortably into your pocket or purse. Crystals kept in a pocket will sit close to your root chakra and help keep this energy centre flowing throughout your day. When it comes to your purse or wallet you’ll want a money magnet crystal - Pyrite, also known as ‘Fools Gold’ is perfect for this!

Crystal suggestions: Fire Quartz in your pocket for positivity and growth, Pyrite in your purse to attract wealth and abundance.

Crystal jewellery

Wearing a crystal pendant or bracelet is an easy way to carry crystal healing energies with you. Jewellery is perfect for nurturing a deep connection with your crystals and serves as a physical reminder of your intentions and goals as you go about your day. Depending on where the crystal sits on the body you can match it to the closest chakra or use your intuition when selecting a crystal to be your talisman.

Crystal suggestions: Rose Quartz on a long pendant (heart chakra), Blue Lace Agate on a short pendant (throat chakra), Labradorite bracelet for connection to your higher self and energy protection.

Crystals are beautiful treasures for sure, but there’s no need to keep them just for display around the home. There are easy and practical ways to keep them close and feel the support from their healing energies every day. Choose a method or two that speak to you to create your own personal daily crystal ritual!
